With evolving trends, XR wearable devices have the potential to become an essential part of our daily lives. Since these devices are worn on our heads, they will naturally become accessories that reflect our personal style and fashion sense. Based on the market positioning and analysis and research below, this concept is designed to bridge the gap between the current focus on electronic utility and a more fashion-forward, industrial design approach. It aims to create a versatile style that suits both professional settings and various everyday environments. Additionally, this design offers flexibility with modes tailored for everyday wear and active sports use, much like traditional eyewear. In workout mode, this device can be paired with interchangeable straps to enhance stability during physical activities. Therefore, in addition to focusing on fashion-forward style, it is important to pay more attention to the convenience for users when going out and the comfort during daily activities_

In designing XR devices, it's essential to avoid the style of consumer entertainment electronics. The appearance should not deviate from current eyewear products on the market, and the usage should not involve overly complex or novel wearing methods. The design should also allow for a simplified head-wearing experience during movement_

Design Direction and Objectives_

Based on the integration of Refine 1+2, it is assumed that FuturaS should incorporate the functionalities found in current XR/MR devices, such as multiple sensors, cameras, and multi-channel speakers. Additionally, it should be designed to easily and quickly switch to a sports mode when needed, allowing users to adjust the fit seamlessly without significantly disrupting their appearance, such as their hairstyle_
The next step is to develop the product's appearance and style_
Direction
The design of these XR goggles emphasizes a sleek and stylish aesthetic, characterized by smooth, elegant curves that distinguish them from traditional tech-Focused or purely entertainment-focused devices. This product is crafted to resemble a chic everyday accessory rather than a typical piece of technology. The design strongly focuses on seamless curvature, not only enhancing its visual appeal but also ensuring a comfortable and ergonomic fit for the wearer. The contact areas are thoughtfully designed to offer a pleasant and comfortable wearing experience, blending style with functionality_

Daily Mode_

When using FuturaS devices in daily life, users can unlock the device and access essential functions with a side-mounted physical Touch ID button. Additionally, there are two physical buttons on the temples, which allow for easy attachment of head strap accessories needed for switching to sports mode. These accessories provide enhanced stability during physical activities_

In daily mode, normal temples are used instead of overly tight straps. The curved design of the Endpieces in Futurals is intended to reduce excessive light from above in everyday use. This design also embodies elegance and a streamlined aesthetic_

The design principle of the FuturalS device is to offer a lightweight and convenient option for daily use, while also providing the flexibility to switch to a headset accessory with adjustable bands for exercise. The band design includes two pairs of adjustable components with Velcro bindings, allowing users to find the most stable and comfortable way to wear the device according to their preferences. Users can choose to wear one or two Velcro straps. Additionally, unlike the vertical straps commonly found in other wearable devices, which can easily disrupt hairstyles or are unsuitable for ponytails, FuturaS utilizes dual horizontal bands. This design not only keeps hairstyles intact after wearing but also offers greater comfort and ease for users to adjust_

In mockup testing, the dual bands were able to cover the most intense physical activities, providing a certain level of comfort and stability_
During the wear testing process, we gained valuable insight that an additional head-supporting pad can be added when using dual bands. This accessory can be adjusted depending on the type of activity being performed_
